STRENGTH ANALYSIS RESULTS OF A MULTI-STOREY BUILDING
Not all universities in Indonesia have large plots of land available for building construction to meet the needs of the teaching and learning process. Therefore, one solution is to construct a multi-storey building. However, a significant issue is the concern over the strength and stability of the building in the long term, especially considering that Indonesia frequently experiences earthquakes, which have a direct impact on the structures. To ensure the successful construction of a multi-storey building, one solution is to properly analyze the earthquake resistance concept in accordance with the applicable SNI regulations.
The UNISMUH Faculty of Medicine Building is calculated at a high earthquake risk level (risk category IV with an earthquake primacy factor of Ie = 1.5) so that the structural system applied in calculations through ETABS software version 9.7 is a Special Moment Bearing Frame System (SRPMK) which has very strict reinforcement detailing.(Structural Consultant Ayuddin/SCA).
In the following, I present the results of an analysis of a 12-story reinforced concrete building with respect to the functional structure of a building.
